Business Plan

As talent acquisitions in the US become more difficult, employers have been forced to look outside the US borders to find talented employees. The immigration program for entrepreneurs was designed specifically for these foreign entrepreneurs and individuals who have enough work experience so they can adapt fast and provide a working force to American employers.

For the past years, immigrants coming to the USA for work have become the main source of immigration, several immigration programs for entrepreneurs, and work immigration programs have been created. The immigration program for entrepreneurs and individuals is specifically intended to recruit individuals who are educated with good work experience and abilities that can contribute to the American economy.

Immigration to the USA – Business oriented

Immigration rules in many countries are designed to make it simpler for foreign businesses or individuals to establish a firm there. In the United States, it’s the same story. Companies with foreign workers who wish to work may file an immigration petition on their behalf to allow them to immigrate and begin working for that firm.

The immigration petition has to be filed by a specific employer and can be done through Form I-140, Immigrant Petition for Alien Worker. The immigration petition must be approved before the immigrant starts work. Once the immigration petition is approved, he or she will receive a notice from USCIS (U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services) approving his or her immigration petition and order for a visa number. This only means that if a visa number becomes available, the person will be eligible to apply for immigration to the United States. It does not mean he or she has been granted immigration status yet.

Immigration to the USA – for Work purposes

Every year, thousands of individuals immigrate to the United States for work-related purposes. According to data from the U.S. Department of State and USCIS, in recent years it has become more and more difficult for employment-based applicants to receive visas due to an increased number of immigrants applying each year.

In 2016, it is estimated that there were 1.4 million applicants for employment with Green Cards.  In 2017, it is estimated that around 70% of applicants were approved for visas. In 2018, it was found that there was a backlog of over 370,000 applications that had been waiting for Green Cards to become available.

Employment-based immigration to the United States is quite complicated. There are many types of visas that an individual can apply for to work in the United States, and strict laws are regulating who can come to America to earn income. Applicants need to do thorough research before applying.
